How to Use Cuban Oregano

Cuban Oregano has a strong aroma and flavor — a little goes a long way! Here are a few simple ways to use it at home:

  • Herbal Tea for Cough or Cold:
Steep 2–3 fresh leaves in hot water for 10 minutes. Strain, add honey if desired, and sip slowly to soothe the throat.
  • Cooking with Cuban Oregano:
Chop a few leaves and use them to season beans, lentils, stews, or roasted vegetables. It adds a rich, savory taste similar to thyme or oregano, but stronger.
  • Infused Oil:
Place a handful of clean, dry Cuban Oregano leaves into a jar and cover with olive oil. Let it sit for 2–3 weeks in a cool, dark place. Strain and use for cooking or as a massage oil for sore muscles.
