Cuban Oregano / Leaf Thyme / Mexican Mint / Indian Borage / Spanish Thyme / Plectranthus Amboinicus
Dear Customer: Please read this prior to placing your order. We take great care to package our plants for the absolute best protection from the stress of shipping. We always strive to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations about our store, and we will always try to solve any problems with our products.
Sometimes our plants may have some small details that may be of concern to you, such as brown edges, leaves with holes, a broken leaf, and other details which might make them look distressed from the shipping, and we apologize for this but the shipping environment is something out of our control. It is important that when the plant arrives, it is carefully removed, watered, and put in the open air as soon as possible.
We are really very concerned about deliveries. Most of our items arrive healthy and on time, but some are delayed longer than expected, and that affects our plants’ health a lot. In some extreme cases, the post office has taken more than 10 days to deliver our products. We have no control over this and the plant can deteriorate a lot, or in the worst case, it does not survive. We will also work with you to replace your plants at a discount, but we cannot be responsible for anything beyond our control.
The seedling will be about 3 inches long with at least two leaves. Plants are for sale only, no pots included. Shipment will be made only from Monday to Thursday.
Plectranthus amboinicus - Mexican Mint - Spanish Thyme - Mexican Thyme - Puerto Rican Oregano
Cuban oregano- these are not oregano!
These smell like oregano, but actually belong to the mint family!
This is a wonderful plant - great smelling, delicious taste, and easy to grow. The flavor is much stronger than Greek oregano. The leaves contain pungent oils and are used in much lower amounts in recipes that call for oregano. As a culinary herb, use this as you would any other oregano, but again, remember that you need to use much less than the recipe recommends. The leaves can be used fresh or dried, and they work well with meats, poultry, and are added fresh to soups and stews.
Important Plant Data- Medicinally, Cuban oregano has been used to treat many ailments such as respiratory problems, rheumatism, constipation, and flatulence. Plant in the partial sun making sure the soil drains well. Additional requirements- USDA Zone 9-1 Place in Full sun Water medium Evergreen foliage Adult size is 24 to 36 inches tall. It is important to mention that this is a very delicate product and that it can suffer in shipping. That is why we tell you that products sent by mail are always a risk. If you have any problems, let us know. If your order is damaged, please take photos and notify us immediately, and we will assist you in the process with the post office
