Dear Customer: Please read this prior to placing your order. We take great care to package our plants for the absolute best protection from the stress of shipping. We always strive to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations about our store, and we will always try to solve any problems with our products.

Sometimes our plants may have some small details that may be of concern to you, such as brown edges, leaves with holes, a broken leaf, and other details which might make them look distressed from the shipping, and we apologize for this but the shipping environment is something out of our control. It is important that when the plant arrives, it is carefully removed, watered, and put in the open air as soon as possible.

The listing includes 3 seedlings that will be about 3 inches long with at least two leaves. No pots included.

Cinnamon basil, also known as Mexican spice basil, has a spicy, fragrant aroma and flavor. It contains methyl cinnamate, giving it a flavor reminiscent of cinnamon. Cinnamon basil has somewhat narrow, slightly serrated, dark green, shiny leaves with reddish-purple veins, which can resemble certain types of mint, and produces small, pink flowers from July to September. Its stems are dark purple. Cinnamon basil grows to 18–30 inches tall.

Shipment will be made only from Monday to Thursday.

Cultivation:
Cinnamon basil is an easy-to-grow herb. It requires six to eight hours of bright sunlight per day. Although it is often grown as an annual, it is a perennial in USDA plant hardiness zones 9–11. Cinnamon basil is sometimes planted near tomatoes and roses to discourage pests such as whiteflies.
Uses:
Cinnamon basil is used in teas and baked goods such as cookies and pies. It is also used in pasta, salads, jellies, and vinegar. Outside the kitchen, cinnamon basil is used in dried arrangements and as a potpourri.

Cinnamon basil requires full sunlight and well-drained soil.
Dig a generous amount of compost or well-rotted manure into the soil before
the plantation. Leave plenty of room for Cinnamon Basil, as the plant can reach heights and widths up to 1 m. (3ft).

Water cinnamon basil plants as needed to keep the soil slightly moist but never soggy. Cinnamon basil grown in pots should be watered whenever the top 1 inch (2.5 cm) of the potting mix feels dry. Don't over-water, as basil is prone to rot in muddy soil conditions. A thin layer of mulch will help keep the soil moist and prevent evaporation.

Additional requirements:
